PROFESSIONAL EXPLORATORY – For Young Actors & Families

Working in the movies and on TV can be lots of fun but it also requires practice, training, and commitment. For young actors, success in the industry involves the whole family, especially parents. Our six-week Professional Exploratory Course gives young actors and their parents an opportunity to look inside the busy film and television industry in Georgia and around the Southeast. Parents are encouraged to attend class with their child as they try on the skills they will need to win roles. The exploratory is designed to help parents gauge their child’s interest in ongoing training. What’s more, a special parent information seminar is offered providing families with an overview of the industry. Our Exploratory includes;

• Improvisation
• Imagination Exercises
• Auditioning
• Commercials
• Film
• Television
• Monologues
• Cold Reading

Three, 8-week modules focusing on the fundamentals of acting and acting for the camera.

Three, 8-week advanced modules for young actors ready to train at the professional level. Scene Study, Meisner Technique, Audition Mastery, Script Analysis, Character Development, Comedy, Commercials, and Voice-over are included. At the Early Professional level a number of Professional Development Seminars are offered for parents, including; Online-Casting Resources, Set Etiquette & Safety, Documents & Terminology, Young Actor Laws & Regulations, Agency Representation, and more.

Our sixteen-week career development curriculum for young actors ready to secure representation and compete for film/television roles in the Southeast, Los Angeles, and New York. This professional level program focuses on the individual actor—identifying strengths and targeting growth areas. In addition to advanced scene study and audition technique, young actors are required to prepare two auditions per week, self-tape, and submit prior to their next class session. During each class, auditions will be critiqued, graded and, when necessary, revised. Young actors with agency representation will receive on-going coaching and critique on actual auditions plus additional coaching to better prepare them for the roles in which they are cast.

PROFESSIONALS & PARENTS (MASTER LEVEL) with Master Mentor/Coach GREGALAN WILLIAMS (6-weeks) The region’s best Super-Intensive for young working professionals and families committed to success in film and television.

In each three-hour session, Mr. Williams challenges (8) eight young actors and their parents with Advanced Scene Study and Audition Mastery workouts and critique—a highly effective format which enables families to more effectively coach, shoot, and prepare their actor for auditions and work in the fast paced Film/TV environment. Actor work is shot on camera and played back on 70-80 inch high-definition monitors so young professionals and their parents can see, first hand, areas of performance that need adjustment. Actors are encouraged to bring upcoming auditions and work on them in class under Mr. Williams’ expert instruction. Each session is filled with individually focused Business-of-the-Business Mentoring and Practical Career Guidance– an unparalleled level of coaching, experience, and insight from a twenty-five year industry veteran who is still one of the nation’s busiest actors.
